Big track from the forthcoming Ded Tebiase album. The Bristol-based producer has drafted in some local talent for Sharon Stones, with both Hozay and Axel Holy (AKA Baileys Brown) each dropping a hefty verse. I listened to the album last night and can confirm it is sounding tight as fuck throughout. Landspeed is up for pre-order from Village Live on Monday. The video was shot by Chris Lucas.

The third cut from the upcoming Upfront album arrived yesterday, further paving the way for another Split Prophets success. Upfront and Chris Lucas have got a good partnership going and the addition of Evermoor Sound’s Aisha’mae, makes Ugaly a high point for me amongst all these strong, recent releases. The album is up for pre-order now, with a release date scheduled for 28 September.

This is the second single to be lifted from Upfront’s forthcoming album, which follows on from 2014’s Upfront & Personal. Fellow Bristol resident, Chris Lucas is the man behind the beats and it sounds like it’s going to be another success for the Split Prophets family. No release date for Lettermorphosis yet, but stay tuned for more news on that as and when.

Bristol MC, Upfront, is hitting us with a new album shortly, the follow-up to his Upfront & Personal LP from 2014. The Split Prophet member has obviously been putting in the work in the meantime, as is demonstrated on the first single from the project, Contagious. The track is produced by fellow Bristol artist, Chris Lucas (Arun Productions), with cuts from DJ Rogue and a wicked video from Parallel Media.

Wish is back with a new video, the next to be taken from his recent Third Perspective EP. Don’t Make Me features a nice guest spot from fellow Bristol MC, Ellis and the video was shot by Chris Lucas (Arun Productions). In case you missed it, I recently interviewed Wish for Brapp; you can read it here.

This is the latest banger from Vard, who is definitely on a mission to make himself known this year. Once again he has teamed up with Baileys Brown to bring us Overdrive, which also features WalterBlack. The video was made by Chris Lucas. Watch out for Vard’s solo LP, A Tower of Dank, coming soon.

Vard is back with a new track, featuring some very good company. The Sheffield MC links up with Bristol-based rapper, Dash Villz, who drops a nice verse, followed up by some wicked vocals from CW Jones. Vard himself is on point as ever and Baileys Brown provides the perfect foundation with his production. The video was filmed by fellow Bristol resident, Chris Lucas. A Tower of Dank, Vard’s upcoming full length project, is out soon.

Mistafire, from Bristol group Se Fire, is releasing his debut solo album soon and he recently dropped this video for the title track. Featuring Zico, Jago and Papa B from Only Joe, along with a typically good video from Chris Lucas, Condemnation packs a pretty powerful punch. Read the rest of this entry »

New track and video from the Three Headed Beast gang, taken from their Self-Driven EP. 3’s a Charm is produced by Fingerfood and the video was made by Chris Lucas (Arun Productions). The EP is available to download via Bandcamp.
