It’s great to be able to share the full album from Ded Tebiase and Ash The Author with you, having had it in heavy rotation for the past couple of weeks since it found its way into my inbox. If you’re familiar with Tebiase’s 2017 Landspeed LP, then you will no doubt also be familiar with the strength of his creative partnership with Ash, thanks to their initial collab, Yeah. London rapper, C.A.M, returns to the fore with a new video and a new EP, following on from last year’s Persian Rugs project. Once again C.A.M delivers a weighty batch of solid boom bap, showcasing his ever-increasing competence and confidence on the mic. Just Breathe is produced in full by Bristol beat maker, BigLikeBaz, with the duo finding a highly successful partnership between their respective talents. Read the rest of this entry »

A quality debut album from one of the finest purveyors of boom bap in the UK right now, as Parallax releases Auditory Vision. Having built up a name for himself through live shows and his 2014 EP, Depth Perception, the London MC has spent the last few years putting together his debut full-length. The wait was well worth it, with AV demonstrating exactly how his talents have been honed in that four year interim. The features help to bolster the album’s appeal too, with Rakaa Iriscience, C.A.M and Phoenix Da Icefire helping Parallax tear down beats from the likes of Ded Tebiase, Nappa and Wickstarr. Auditory Vision is available to stream in full below and there are also downloads, physicals and merch to nab over on Bandcamp. Read the rest of this entry »

A welcome return from C.A.M as he follows on last year’s strong debut, with his new Persian Rugs EP. Setting the Pace is the lead single from the project and sees the London MC switching up his flows on a tasty beat from Bradford’s finest & gingerslim favourite, HashFinger. The EP is due for release on 3 September; more on that to follow.

Still buoyed off the success of his debut EP last year, C.A.M hits us with a new track and video, Soliloquy to the Self. For this one he links up with #TheWinners own Giallo Point and the result is a laid-back affair, with a lyrical emphasis on self-reflection. The video was made by This & That Media and the cuts were done by Jabba tha Kut

If you remember, C.A.M recently released his debut EP, The First Move, and he has followed it up with a video from the project. Twin Beacons features fellow boom bap ambassador, Parallax and the two MCs trade bars over a nice beat from Wickstarr. The video was shot by AboveGround.

You may remember me covering some music from London MC, C.A.M, a while back. He is now back with his full debut release, First Move and it displays more of the confident wordplay and thoughtful lyricism that were prevalent in the lead single, Cold Soul.
Production for the most part comes from Wickstarr, with Chro bringing his knowledge to a couple of joints. C.A.M handles all the bars himself, but there is a nice feature from CW Jones, on the EP’s closing track. You can stream First Move below and you can purchase a copy via C.A.M’s Bandcamp. Straight up boom bap from C.A.M as he brings us another taste of his forthcoming First Move EP. Cold Soul is produced by Wickstarr and the cuts were provided by DJ Daredevil, who sadly passed away recently. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the EP.
