Very happy to finally be able to bring you the new Baileys Brown solo LP in all its genre-defying glory. If you’re already familiar with Baileys Brown’s work, you will know he is a producer who is not afraid to venture outside the normal constraints of a genre and draw on musical influences from other areas, to create unique soundscapes which are among some of the most ambitious in the UK right now. When he found a home at Potent Funk it seemed like the ideal setting for his exploits, thanks to their already established love of ‘hybrid rap shit’ and with that in mind, Still Fresh serves as the perfect label debut. Check out the latest sounds from the Green Brick Records camp, as Lazy Eyez drops his brand new video. Heavy is produced by JMax and is the first official cut from the Pupils of the Clock MC, since the triumphant release of his debut solo LP back in February. The video was made by NineFive. Heavy is also available to download and stream.

A dreamy new synth driven track from Bristol-based vocalist, Chikaya, as she delivers an ideal accompaniment for these balmy summer nights, in the form of Castles.

New video from Wish Master and Datkid, as they deliver an ode to their favourite South West city. Bris Life is produced by Leaf Dog and the track is lifted from 2018’s Wish Master EP, which is out now on Official Recordings. The video was made by Sektion Red.

Sticking with Bristol, as we check out the latest cut from Aristocrats. Wine & Roses features some strong lyrical work from Gus Stash and Stil Bizzy, as they let loose over some JMaxfield production. The video was made by DHACK Media.

The ever-prolific Illinformed has yet another new project on the horizon, this time uniting with Split Prophets OG, Joey Paro. No Fill is our introduction to the EP and features a nice appearance from fellow SP member, Upfront. The Victory Gin EP is due for release on 12 August, with pre-orders available now via Bandcamp.

Refreshing track from the burgeoning Bristol scene, as Keeda releases her debut single. For Deeper, the vocalist has teamed up with the ever-prolific, Wish Master, and Drog Beats, who handles the production. The video was made by Sektion Red.

Sylla B is due to hit us with a new album very soon and last week he treated us to a taste of what he’s got lined up. Spooky sees the Bristol-based MC cooking up a murky little number, with TrollGang production ace, Oozhe. Stay tuned for more news on the album coming soon.

Positivity abound in the new video from Bristol MC, Blacksmith. Peace sees him making Transatlantic connections, as he joins forces with Rakaa of Dilated Peoples fame and J5 veteran, Marc7, as well as Knytro and his AFT Raps label mate, Carasel.

Friday saw the release of what will no doubt be one of the rawest albums of 2019, courtesy of Datkid and Leaf Dog, along with the next video from the project, Cook Book.
