Cult of The Damned: Civilised

There had been rumours circulating that COTD were coming back with new material and then they were confirmed with the announcement that we would get a new video today. And sure enough, I woke up to find Civilised plastered over multiple timelines.
It is definitely full gang, as Barebase, King Grubb, Salar, Bill Shakes, Lee Scott, Black Josh, Milkavelli, Stinkin Slumrok and Sniff all drop verses, with Sam Zircon and Bisk handling production. Suitably grimy aesthetic, further cementing Blah and their various off-shoots as the no fucks given older brother of some of the other UK rap labels. The excellent single take video was made by aboveGround.

Bisk: SAUCEMONEY

Right now I’d put Bisk on a par with Curren$y in terms of work rate. The Blah Records MC has put out a crazy number of projects over the course of the past two years and now within the first two weeks of 2018, he is back with another one.
Entirely produced by fellow Swamp Harbour dweller, Sam Zircon, SAUCEMONEY is laden with all the street stories and fuck you attitude that has made Bisk a favourite among the Blah cult members and beyond. Lyza Jane ft. Bisk: Easy

Great song from Lyza Jane, as she brings her blissed out, air-like vocals to Easy. Production is handled by Formz, with a nice little guest spot from Bisk. The track is lifted from Lyza’s recent EP, Nobody But You, which features appearances from Milkavelli, Nah Eeto and Jam Baxter.

The Insomniac Section (Don’t Sleep)

I’ve been struggling to write more than a couple of paragraphs for the past few months. Various reasons, too boring or personal to go into now, but it does mean I have failed to shine a light on some decent projects that have been given life in the interim. I wanted to do a bit of a catch up to make amends for my slack attitude and also to bring some thoroughly good music to your attention.

Bisk ft. Milkavelli, Salar & Lee Scott: Sushi

The Yasuke EP was one of Bisk’s many releases over the past couple of years and such was its success, that Blah are going to reissue it with a new tape edition. The tape will also contain some bonus tracks, including this beast, featuring cult favourites, Salar, Milkavelli & Lee Scott. No release date as yet, but keep your ears peeled cos you know they won’t hang around for long. Sushi is available to stream below.

Bisk ft. Lee Scott & Salar: La Sombra

Bisk is on a roll right now. He just released a new album, Gutter City and now he is back with another new track, which is allegedly from another new album that is on the horizon. La Sombra features fellow Blah heads, Lee Scott and Salar, with some nice production from M9. You can stream the track below.

Bisk: Gutter City

Bisk is back with a bang as he prepares to take us all on a trip to Gutter City. The Swamp Harbour general has been steadily releasing solid project after solid project, laying waste to the idea that quality and quantity are mutually exclusive.

Bisk: Ravioli

New from Blah comes the latest cut from Bisk. He is set to release yet another EP today, the next in a long line of heaters which have emerged over the past year or so. Ravioli is produced by Lee Scott.

Bisk: XXXX

More dope from Bisk, who is up there with the most prolific MCs of the era thanks to the slew of projects he’s released over the past year or so. XXXX features his trademark raw drawl, with some nice production credits from the likes Drae Da Skimask, Broom Man, Sam Zircon and Bisk himself. Stinkin Slumrok x Morriarchi ft. Bisk: Indacity

The long-awaited Morrstinkin album is finally out on all formats and to celebrate there is another new video from the project. Swamp Harbour resident Bisk is on hand for this one, as him and Slumrok slay another beast of a beat from Morriarchi. Morrstinkin is available to buy now from the Blah store, among other places.
