Very happy to finally be able to bring you the new Baileys Brown solo LP in all its genre-defying glory. If you’re already familiar with Baileys Brown’s work, you will know he is a producer who is not afraid to venture outside the normal constraints of a genre and draw on musical influences from other areas, to create unique soundscapes which are among some of the most ambitious in the UK right now. When he found a home at Potent Funk it seemed like the ideal setting for his exploits, thanks to their already established love of ‘hybrid rap shit’ and with that in mind, Still Fresh serves as the perfect label debut. As has now become tradition, this month sees the return of the annual High Focus Summer Block Party at, Lakota, the legendary Bristol venue. The label have made big waves in the city over the last few years, thanks to a string of huge parties and this year looks set to continue in similar fashion. Another huge track from Baileys Brown as the release date for his solo album draws ever nearer. This time round, the Bristol producer has drafted in his old accomplice, Datkid, as well as his label-mate, Dabbla, with the trio going off in pursuit of that elusive cash money. And once again it’s another stunning visual accomplishment from This & That Media (keep your eyes peeled for plenty of UKHH related cameos too). The album, Still Fresh, is due for release on 26 July on Potent Funk.
This is the latest offering from the forthcoming album from Bristol producer, Baileys Brown. For Reeboks, he has joined forces with Datkid and Stinkin Slumrok, as well as own rap alter ego, Axel Holy. The result is a glitchy, warped beast of a track which only raises the anticipation for the full release. The video was made by Conz. Still Fresh is due for release next month on Potent Funk.
1920’s mobster vibes in the latest video from Wish Master. My Advice is taken from his recent Boom Bap To The Future album and features production from Baileys Brown. The video was made by Sektion Red.
Check the latest visual excellence from Vard, as he teams up with his regular collaborator, Wish Master, for The Limit. The track is produced by Baileys Brown and the video was made by Sektion Red. Stay tuned for a lot more music coming from both Vard and Wish very soon. Downloads for The Limit are available via Bandcamp.
There are a few forthcoming releases to be excited about in 2019, but one that should be near the top of all your lists is the long-awaited solo album from Baileys Brown. He’s found himself a new label home in the form of Potent Funk, one that suits his sound exceptionally well, in my opinion. The first taste of what’s in store was delivered over Christmas, with the lead single, Horses Mouth.
The track features two of Brown’s long-term collaborators, Datkid and Jinxsta JX, as well as a video from one of Bristol’s finest, Chris Lucas. The album, Still Fresh, is coming soon with a hefty list of features from Stinkin Slumrok, Black Josh, Bil Next, Axel Holy, Juga-Naut, Wish, Vard, Ly, Jordan Nathaniel, Anbu, Hozay, Bogues, Conz and Jay0117.
Huge posse cut from the essential World War 3 LP by Vard and Wish. On Riot they enlist Glock, Tona, Dash Villz, Ellis, R.E. and Jordan Nathaniel to blitzkrieg another strong beat from Baileys Brown. The album is available to buy now on Official Recordings.
It’s rare that you hear people say they’re looking forward to the arrival of World War 3, but that’s exactly what the last few months have felt like. Yes the collaboration between Vard, Wish and Baileys Brown is finally here and with it comes a new video too. Young & Influenced is a thought-provoking track, with a focus on that all too familiar tale of young girls who wind up in shady situations often beyond their control. The video was made by Chris Lucas.
Been a long time coming, but now we’re finally reaching the release date for the new album from Vard and Wish. Produced in its entirety by Baileys Brown, World War 3, looks set to be a success for the two rising rappers.
They recently released a new video, which is lifted from the project, to give us all a little insight into what to expect from the full project. Reminisce features Jordan Nathaniel and the video was made by This & That Media. Pre-orders for the album are available now, with the release set for 18 April.
