Watch Tower offers up some soulful nourishment, before Crooked Visor darkens the mood, all tied up tightly with Obijuan’s husky flow. The tracks are lifted from SAXRED GIN, which is out now on Bad Taste Records.

The Bad Taste roster recently gained some extra muscle, as they announced the imminent arrival of a new project from Bahamian rapper, Obijuan. The internationally roaming artist has teamed up with GRIMM Doza for Layin Low, a simple but effective, stripped back track which provides some useful insight into the rapper’s appeal. Obijuan’s latest album, The King’s Wishes, is due for release on 20 November.

The announcement of a new Mach-Hommy project is always the cause of much chatter in the rap world. On the one hand there is the excitement of hearing fresh material from arguably one of the nicest lyricists of the era, and on the other hand there are always debates over his approach to his releases – namely the prices he charges. I can see it from both sides, to be honest.
Some will argue that the high prices prevent a lot of fans from ever owning a copy, but at the same time every one of his releases sells out and I know for a fact its not just rich kids buying them. Some rap fans genuinely believe that the art is worth that much and are happy to part with their hard earned cash.

This is the latest track from those HAPPYPPL – aka Trellion and Lee Scott. This time it’s FORMZ on the beat and he smashed it. Plus bonus points for their use of Audrey Horne in the visuals.
