The long awaited collaboration between BBP’s Ash The Author and Soulful Chemistry’s Krang, made a surprise appearance yesterday. The Two Man Band project features some really nice tracks; from the opening piano-laced Mic Check, to the Benny Diction assisted Main Course, the duo don’t seem to be able to put a foot wrong. There are more features from regular sparring partners, Gatecrasherz’s Gee Bag and Granville Sessions’ Archetype, making the whole EP an unskippable eight tracks of hip hop joy. There is already a video out, which you can see below and the EP is available to buy now from the Boom Bap Professionals Bandcamp page. Continue reading “Ash The Author & Krang: Two Man Band”
Another solid album from Granville Sessions has been given life and is now available for your delectation. Monument is the third album from the South London crew, following on from 2011’s No State and 2013’s Forward, both of which were well received by critics and helped earn a reputation for strong lyricism, alongside notable live performances. The brand new video from Granville Sessions premiered on We Plug Good Music yesterday and it’s another smasher from the South London collective. Calgon Sunrise is going to be available to download from 10 June.
Yet more new music from the Moose, as they drop their second EP in as many weeks: Hoof Prints Vol. 2. This time the release is produced in its entirety by arguably the UK’s best coiffured producer, Pte Cannon. The track is great and is made even greater by the excellent video by Cowboy Tactics. Good shit. The EP is available to download over at Bandcamp.
Following on from my post about their new EP, Moose Funk Squad just dropped a new video. Habitat, like the rest of the EP, is produced by P739. Downloads are available here.
New music from one of the best named crews out here, as Moose Funk Squad drop Hoof Prints Vol.1. This is their second release, following on from the very popular Moose Funk Vol.1 and is produced in its entirety by P739. It is available to download now over at the Broke Records Bandcamp.
Next up is a track that marks the very welcome return of Granville Sessions. Leave It is the first we have heard from the gang since they released their excellent album Forward in 2013. They have obviously been putting in the work in the interim, because they have come back with a very different sound, a move which only makes me want to hear more of what they have been concocting in the lab. You can buy Leave It over at Bandcamp now for the princely sum of £1.00.
