Fly Anakin: Chess Pieces + LP Stream

New music from the Mutant Academy roster, as Fly Anakin unveils a new video from his recent album. On Chess Pieces, Anakin reminds us exactly why he’s been praised by critics and legends alike, as he delivers a potent dose of intricate bars over some choice drum-driven production from Foisey. The track is taken from the album, at the end of the day., which emerged last month and features a refreshingly weighty list of 16 tracks. Production comes from usual spots, with contributions from the likes of Graymatter, Ohbliv, Sadhu Gold, Anakin himself and of course, Foisey. There are also some nice features too, from Nickelus F, ANKHLEJOHN and Big Kahuna OG. The whole album can be heard below, with downloads and physicals available via Bandcamp.

ANKHLEJOHN: Yellow House Intro

The ever-prolific ANKHLEJOHN returns with a new full-length release called The Yellow House, a name inspired by the infamous Washington DC food spot. Yellow House Intro is the first taste we have been given and it looks set to be another smash for SHAAP Records. Production on this track comes from Sadhu Gold and Hesh, with cats like The Historian, ewonee and Graymatter being drafted in on the rest of the album. New batch of dope from the Washington MC, as he delivers his latest project, ANKH NASTY. 10 tracks deep, with production from Vinyl Villain, Hooligan, Foisey and Sadhugold to name but a few. There are also features from the likes of Fly Anakin and Vic Spencer, in case you needed any more reasons to go bump it. ANKHLEJOHN: Lordy By Nature (UUV)

Washington state MC, ANKHLEJOHN, looks set to make a lot of noise this year, starting with this new project. Lordy By Nature is inspired by the fast-paced culture of UUV, a name derived from the US penal code for unauthorised use of a motor vehicle.
There have been a couple of tracks leaked from the album already, including Ms Jackson which you can stream below. The track is produced by Viles, who shares production duties across the whole project with VHS and Slumlord. Pre-orders are available now via FXCK RXP, with the release date set for 28 February.
