Anderson Paak and Knxwledge recently released a new video for one of the tracks from their 2016 debut, Yes Lawd! Lyk Dis is arguably one of the highlights from the album and the animated video only adds to the appeal. The animation comes courtesy of Andy Baker who brings life to Rhymezlikedimez’s illustration skills. Yes Lawd! is out now on Stones Throw.
It was back in 2016 when Anderson Paak provided everyone’s summer soundtrack (thanks to his January release of Malibu) and then finished off the same year with his Yes Lawd album, alongside KNXWLEDGE. Since then he has been relatively quiet as far as new music goes, so was happy to see a new track surface yesterday.
Bubblin is produced by Jahlil Beats and AntMan Wonder, and is a step away from the more soulful sounds of his previous works, but if this is the new direction he has chosen to move in, I am definitely going to be following. The track is accompanied by a mad video too, in which Paak discovers a never-ending supply of money from an ATM and proceeds to reach ridiculous baller levels. There is also a cameo from his son, Soul.
Paak recently spoke with Zane Lowe and hinted at the arrival of more new music soon, saying, “I have 65,000 songs in the vault. No features, fam”. Stay tuned.
Brand new video from the collaborative gift that keeps on giving – NxWorries. Knxledge and Anderon Paak made the video for Scared Money as a tribute to the film Paid in Full. The track is lifted from last year’s excellent Yes Lawd! album; keep your eyes out for a remix edition coming very soon.
Children of Zeus have been added to this year’s Soundwave line-up in Croatia and to celebrate that fact, they have put together a mix which is pretty much guaranteed to kill any trace of your winter blues. The 50 minute mix features a nice selection of cuts from the likes of Anderson .Paak, BJ the Chicago Kid and Joyce Wrice, as well as Konny & Tyler themselves. You can stream it below and I’ve included the tracklist for easy reference. Enjoy. Continue reading “Children of Zeus: Sunsets & Soulfood Mix”
One of my favourite tracks from Anderson Paak’s Malibu album has now got its own video. Come Down features his trusty compadres The Free Nationals along with an infectious beat. Malibu is available to buy now from the usual spots.

New from the dastardly duo – aka Anderson Paak & Knxwledge – comes Lyk Dis, accompanied with news of an album release too. Ever since their first collab fans have been eager for more and next month they will get their wish granted. Yes Lawd is due for release on Stones Throw on 21 October. More details to follow.
Knox Brown – the Birmingham resident and brains behind a string of hits for the likes of Beyonce, Jay Z, Mary J Blige and Aloe Blacc – just released this new track with Anderson .Paak. No Slaves is taken from Knox’s Searching EP, which is due out in August. Pre-orders are available here.
Link Up is the latest release from the excellent union of Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge, taken from their NxWorries EP, which was released on Stones Throw. The video was directed by Calmatic.
