Today sees the full release of the new EP from Bristol MCs, Twizzy and Jinxsta JX and local producer, Chris Lucas. It’s a solid EP from three artists who have been immersed in the scene long enough now for anything other than the music itself to filter away, leaving six tracks of quality rap forged in the group’s collective passion for the culture. Twizzy and Jinxsta’s flows are well-matched by their differences too, which only adds to the project’s appeal. There is also a good selection of features, thanks to on-point contributions from Press1, Ambush Tactics and DJ Rogue. First Word Last is available to stream below, and there are plenty of physicals and bundles up for grabs too. Continue reading “Twizzy x Jinxsta JX x Chris Lucas: First Word Last (Stream)”

A welcome return for Twizzy, as he releases his latest album, Old Dog No Tricks. It’s been a while since his last release, back in February last year, but pleased to say the Bristol MC is still as on point as ever. It’s a collaboration between Twizzy and his old friend and collaborator, Billy Whizz, with the pair having such a good chemistry that whatever they turn their collective minds to is always going to work. There are plenty of local features too, with G00SE, Sylla B, Ambush Tactics and Jinxsta JX all dropping in with nice verses. The album is available to stream below, with downloads and physicals available over on Bandcamp. Continue reading “Twizzy & Billy Whizz: Old Dog No Tricks (Stream)”
