Two new projects from Blah Records today, starting off with the latest release from Bang On. For Defo Not Normal, the Liverpool MC has joined forces with fellow Blah OG, Reklews, with the pair delivering an EP that is built within the framework of hip hop, before straying off into experimental territories. I’m a big fan of so-called alternative rap and this is a fine example of why. Defo Not Normal is available to stream below and you can find downloads over on Bandcamp. The cover art was made by Matt Littler. Continue reading “Bang On! x Reklews: Defo Not Normal (Stream)”

Kojey Radical ft. Mahalia & Swindle – Water
Blinding new track from one of the moe distinct voices around today, as Kojey Radical brings us his latest track. Water is a collaboration with the ever-sublime, Mahalia and Swindle, who pulls some nice laid-back production out of the bag. The track is also available to stream and download here.
Bang On! ft. Lee Scott & Bisk: Patio
More new music from Bang On!, as he gears up to hit us with his latest project, The Power of Not Being Arsed. Patio is the first drop from the release and features fellow Blah associates, Lee Scott and Bisk on a left field wave, thanks to Morriarchi’s production. The Power of Not Being Arsed is due for digital release tomorrow.
BOOTS: Soon Be Gone

Featuring over 220 tracks, from Manchester’s musical community, this album does two things – it shows the rich diversity and unity within the various Manchester scenes, plus it also shows that the great city and it’s residents will not be brought down or divided by these horrendous acts.
