You may remember me publishing a new track from U.G. a few weeks ago, well now he is back with a fresh video too. The Mystic is taken from his forthcoming LP, Portals, which is due out on 21 October. You can pre-order it here.
Today also sees the release of a new Cappo album, which is always cause to celebrate. The Notts veteran has released 14 tracks, all produced by him (with a little help from The Theorist), under the title Dramatic Change of Fortune. You can stream and download the album now over at the YNR Bandcamp.
Something a bit different today, but something that needs to be shared. My fellow Bristolians, Portishead, yesterday released a video in tribute to Jo Cox. If you’re outside the UK, Jo was an MP who was shot and killed last week, triggered an outpouring of grief from the public, in part because of her liberal stance on matters such as the refugee crisis and immigration. Sleazy F Baby has been one of my ones to watch this year, ever since he burst out of the Blah camp at the end of last year with his single, From the Bits. Since then we’ve been treated to a couple more tracks and a few appearances on other Blah projects, as well as the announcement of his debut album, All Blahk Tracksuit, which is scheduled for release on 1 July. Continue reading “Sleazy F Baby: All Blahk Tracksuit”
This is the first video from an interesting new release on EatGood Records. The collaboration between Percy Filth and Greg Blackman has been brewing for a while, so its good to see that it was worth the wait. Featuring appearances from SonnyJim, Ty, Mystro, Kosyne and Jack Jones (Soundsci), alongside a blend of soulful vocals and new wave hip hop beats, this is set to be one of the most adventurous projects of the year. The whole EP is out now and you can get yours over at Bandcamp.
Another slice of surreal brilliance from the critically acclaimed L’Orange and Kool Keith album, Time? Astonishing!, as they release the new video for The Green Ray. Mello Music Group can’t seem to put a foot wrong with their artist roster and this album has been a prime example. If you don’t know it yet, get to know over at Bandcamp.
Check out the latest video from Jack Diggs‘ blinding new album, Blue Rain. Glass Home was released last week, along with the album itself which you can pick up now from Revorg Records.
Get hyped for the new joint from JMan. Always a treat to hear what he’s been up to and Everything Bless does not disappoint. The track was produced by Bugseed and the video was shot by Si Haze.
Next new cut from the collaborative album which Rapper Big Pooh and Nottz will be blessing us with in full tomorrow. Continue reading “Rapper Big Pooh & Nottz: Preach”
As if the prospect of his joint album with Si Phili wasn’t enough, Dotz has also hooked up with vocalist Flo, to bring us The Flotz EP. At five tracks deep, it is a good example of the crossover style Dotz has been riding between battle rapper and lyricist, plus Flo’s vocals lend a nice bit of extra flavour to the songs.
