As if the previous offerings of the week haven’t been enough, today also marks the day that the latest DJ Muggs project is given life. Following on from superb collborations with the likes of Meyhem Lauren, Roc Marci and Mach-Hommy, the Cypress Hill veteran now joins forces with another fearsome lyricist in the form of NY MC, CRIMEAPPLE.
Following in the footsteps of the previous Muggs’ releases, Medallo is a brooding, rugged affair with the two players finding a moody harmony between their respective crafts. There are a couple of features from Griselda favourite, Conway and Boston MC, Primo Profit, but the real star of the show is CRIMEAPPLE, who shows us once again why he is up there with the best of the recent crop of rising lyricists.
