Raekwon & Blakroc: Stay Off The F*ckin’ Flowers

One of my favourite albums of all time is the one-off collaborative project that The Black Keys embarked on, back in 2009, when they enlisted the ample talents and connections of Dame Dash for Blakroc. Together they crafted a bluesy hip hop and rock infused album that featured some incredible contributions from the likes of Mos Def, Jim Jones, Q-Tip, Nicole Wray and Billy Danze.
There was also a great feature from Wu veteran, Raekwon, on Stay Off The F*ckin’ Flowers, which is now being given new life thanks to this video that emerged a couple of weeks ago. The video appears to show footage of the original recording of the track and its release may have some connection with the fact that the album turns 10 years old this year. Whatever the reason, it’s a great insight into the session and seems to be introducing a lot of new listeners to Blakroc, judging by the YouTube comments that have been posted so far.
