CHIKA: No Squares

Exceptionally strong debut single from CHIKA, as she finally capitalises on the following she’s been building for the last couple of years. Like many of her fans, the 22-year old MC first came to my attention through her IG videos, where she would obliterate various well known instrumentals with a devastating flow that was scarily effortless. Since then she has gained the attention of a number of high profile stars, including Diddy who recently introduced her to Jay Z as “one of the baddest in the game”. High praise indeed, but also very accurate. No Squares is a fine introduction for those of you unfamiliar with CHIKA’s style and hopefully the touch paper for a lengthy career to follow.
