Pleased to finally be able to share the debut solo LP from Lazy Eyez. The South West MC has been steadily building his rep thanks in part to his work as one half of Pupils of the Clock and now has reached a position where he feels ready to strike out with this solo effort. The title of Coastline To Cityscape is a reference to Lazy’s relocation from his hometown of Truro up to Bristol. It was in Bristol that he met Res One and Badhabitz of Split Prophets fame, before eventually becoming their first signing on Green Brick Records.
What Res and Habitz saw in Lazy is very much evident in this album. A confidence on the mic which is way beyond his years, combined with a lyrical dexterity that put him at the forefront of my favourite upcoming MCs. Lazy is joined on the album by a few names, including fellow POTC MC, Tok, as well as Res One, Mac Lloyd, BabyChaz and Baby Pink. Production comes from the likes of Iroh, Ed Zilla, Mac Lloyd and Badhabitz.
