Way back in 1994, I was given a tape by a kid in my school. On one side was Illmatic and on the other was Enta Da Stage. That was it for me, I was an instant rap fan, largely thanks to Buckshot & 5ft’s raw lyricism.
Now, some 23 years later, Black Moon’s game-changing album is being reissued in a sweet collector’s edition, thanks to the aficionados over at Fat Beats.
There will be collections available in different formats – LP, CD & cassette – with the bumper bundle (pictured) featuring all three complete versions. There will also be an 18 page booklet, which will include new interviews, full liner notes and previously unseen photos from the original publicity shoot. All these can be found over at the Fat Beats site, but get your pre-orders in quick as the vinyl and cassette releases are limited to 1,000 and 500 copies respectively.
