Jester Jacobs: HAM

Rap is a genre where more often than not the artists involved take themselves way too seriously. That is fine if you want to spend your life screw facing and looking unamused in photos, but for a lot of us the only way to get through this shit storm is to be able to have a laugh at your own expense.
Take Jester Jacobs. The guy is a goldmine for really well written and put together rap songs, without ever touching on anything serious. Whether it is his ode to the life of dogs, I’m Dog, or his rap dedication to Pat Butcher, the sometime comedian from South London is a talented MC with a gift for the comedy gab. His latest offering, HAM, is a grimy look at the world of (maybe not) everyone’s favourite cured pork product.
